The Legal 500 EMEA Ranks INTELLECT-S Again
INTELLECT-S made it again to the list of best IP firms ranked by The Legal 500 EMEA 2016.
The Legal 500 Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) which is, together with Chambers Europe, one of the authoritative international legal practice guides, published its rankings in April 2016. Law firms pay nothing to participate, and the guide's editors make their ranking decisions on merit alone.
The EMEA guide offers researched coverage of 81 countries and over 2,700 ranked law firms, providing a detailed qualitative assessment of various factors including work conducted by firms over the past 12 months; experience and depth of teams; specialisms and ancillary services; and, importantly, opinions of the firms' clients: each year, The Legal 500 series contacts over 250,000 clients globally to obtain feedback on which firms meet the requirements of today's business.
Ninety-five Russian-based law firms — 53 domestic teams and 42 internationals operating in Russia — ranked among the best in 2016. The Legal 500 EMEA ranked INTELLECT-S for the third consecutive year and recommended it for the third time as one of Russia's best IP firms. The practice guide awarded the firm's managing partner Evgeny Shestakov a personal mention.
Intellect-S advised Huntleigh Technology on its petition to halt the illegal parallel importation of products including Sonacid and electronic fetal monitors. Evgeny Shestakov heads the team.
Apart form that, INTELLECT-S ranked for the first time among the leaders of the TMT industry, and the firm's partners Anastasia Makhneva and Maxim Labzin are personally mentioned as the leader of the group of highly qualified specialists and, respectively, a key figure of the practice.
The 'group of highly qualified specialists' at Intellect-S is led by Anastasia Makhneva, who advises TMT companies on transactional matters, e-commerce issues and mass media laws. Patent attorney and IP litigation head Maxim Labzin is also a key figure.
