INTELLECT-S Launches Criminal Practice
INTELLECT-S recruited a new partner to lead the firm’s latest addition, its criminal practice.
New partner will lead and develop the firm’s practice focused on defending private businesses in criminal proceedings related to economic crime and corruption.
Admitted to the bar as early as 1999, Dmitry Zagainov has been in the legal profession for 20 years. A top professional in his area, he specializes in the defense of private business in criminal, civil and arbitration proceedings and prejudicial mediation. Dmitry's areas of competence include intellectual property, protection of reputation, tax, independent investigation, asset tracing and recovery, and defense against hostile takeovers. A certified mediator since 2011 and impeccably reputed, Dmitry is popular with the media as a frequent author, commentator and interviewee — in print, online and onscreen. He also teaches his own program of professional workshops and frequently speaks at professional events.
The recruitment of Dmitry Zagainov and some members of his previous team gives INTELLECT-S a new dimension and a new practice area: criminal defense in business-related and white-collar crime proceedings and corporate investigations. The new practice fills in the last remaining gaps in the firm's full-service offering in the sector: dedicated full-time courtroom advocacy and criminal defense.
